I have given all the paper work for a mortgage and paid for appraisal now whats next for the lender?

I have not signed any lenders papers what so ever I know it hasn't gone to the underwriters but shouldnt the lender(countrywide) be giving me something like a truth in lending and shouoldnt I be siging something? What is the next step from the lender. It has been going on forever this loan and I am getting a little fed up with waiting please help!

    It doesn't seem like your lender is doing their job or answering your questions. Don't be afraid to shop around.

    if you don't have one, get one.  YOU should be "kept in the loop" of info.

  3. They are required by law to provide you with a Truth in Lending within three business days of moving forward with your loan.

    You need to find yourself a mortgage lender that is more professional that what you have been currently dealing with. The loan process should only take 30 days or less.

    Did you pay the appraiser directly or send a check to the loan officer?

    IF you paid the appraiser directly call them immediatly and tell them that you are changing lenders and will let them know who that will be.  IF you sent the check to the loan officer, put a stop payment on it immediatly.  

    You need to take control of the situation.
