I have got a TI-84 Plus Silver Edition Texas Instrument Caculator. And I cannot get it to turn on. Help!?

I don't know why it isn't turning on I didn't do anything I have already checked the batteries

  1. is it new? if its new bring it back. if its not then read the instruction book any maybe the screen is very very dim.


  2. Put batteries in it and press "On"....

  3. get a new one...a shame, too..those things are expensive. i just bought one for school

  4. 3 solutions

    1) Remove one of the AAA batteries, hold down on the DEL key while reinserting the AAA battery. The handheld might display Waiting…

    2) Remove one of the AAA batteries, press and hold the [on] key for 10 seconds, release, replace the battery, then turn the unit on. Adjust the contrast.

    3) Remove the AAA batteries for three hours. After the three-hour period, reinsert the batteries and turn the handheld on. Adjust the contrast if necessary.


  5. Take the batteries out and put them  in again. If it doesnt work, return it.
