I have got ethernet cable with my xbox 360 but my PC is upstairs n my 360 is down stairs. what can i do?

Like I say i did recieve a ethernet cable with my 360 but My Pc is up stairs and my xbox is downstairs. What can I do rather than spending out more money on a wireless network usb dongle.
