  1. As far as I know, nowhere. You'll have to go back to Europe and spend them.

  2. I don't know of anywhere ... but large charities will accept foreign coins, they subscribe to a scheme where they can bank them (not sure how that works but I know they can) ... when I'm coming back if I've been abroad I always sort out foreign coins and either put them in the envelope for charity on the aircraft or deposit them in the collection point at the airport

anyway, why bother converting Euros ... surely you'll be going to Europe again? ... if you aren't going to Europe again, then give them as a gift to someone who is

  3. No banks will take the coins BUT it is now illegal in the UK NOT to accept the euro money. Mind you I think you'll have a h**l of a job trying to convince your local Spar of that.

Most of Northern Ireland accepts the coins as payment and I do know that lots of large corporate businesses will accept readily.

  4. I haven't found anywhere that exchanges coins. I normally sell them to a family or friend that's going to Europe, or I keep them for the next time I go

  5. Carly is correct.  The only way that you can use them is to go back to Europe and spend them, unless you know someone else who is going and has already exchanged their £ sterling for Euros...they may be willing to do a swap with your coins for their notes.

I'm off to Ireland in September and would gladly do that for you if you don't live too far away...
