I get a call from 701 212 4797. When i pick up and say hello I get "This is your last chance to update your insurance on your car" or something like that. I first received this at home, now I receive it at work... I hang up right when I hear the voice, next time I'll listen all the way, but I have never given out my phone number either at home OR my work phone number. Has anyone epxerienced this before? Is this a scam, does someone have access to my personal information? My bank accounts seem to be doing OK.

  1. 1. This can be either an insurance scam

    2. Or someone is trying to get hold of your identity.

What you should do is listen all the way, just to make sure.

I googled the phone number for you... it seems multiple people are getting a call from there, and all say it's a scam.

  2. your insurance company doesn't have any phone numbers to reach you?  i find that hard to beleive.  call your insurance agent or company and find out if they are the ones calling you.

  3. It is a scam .

  4. It's a SCAM.  They have nothing but your name and number.  I get a call from 'florida' and I just hit one and waste their time, call them names, etc....  Because if you call the number back it's disconnected so they're obviously doing something to mask where they're calling from.
