  1. NO! No offense to the US Navy, but I think for a college graduate, enlisting in the Navy is a bad idea. I enlisted in the Navy. The wait time for boot camp was upwards of 6-12 months for good rates. Now, if you don't mind waiting, it is fine. You do get 8,000 dollars for having a college diploma and go in as an E-3, but you have to enlist for at least 5 years. Most of the good rates you have to committ for 6 years. Like, frankly, if you have a college diploma, you could find a good job well before shipping to basic.. And for OCS, well, it is never a gurantee. I know Army is accepting almost all of the qualified applicants for OCS.

I know it sounds good. The recruiters spin it well. I just think that other branches are going to offer you a lot more for enlisting. You can get a HUGE bonus for similar jobs in the Army and only have to enlist for 4 years. 6 years for good rates is a large chunk of your life. Make sure you want this hard enough.

  2. Absolutely!

Of course, only you can make that decision, but talk to a recruiting officer AND some people who have actually served. That should give you a good idea of what to expect and whether or not it's best for you.

Good luck, and, if you do join, THANK YOU so much for your service. Most Americans understand from where our freedoms come, and we feel blessed for people who join our voluntary armed forces.

BTW - This will also put rocket boosters on your post-military career (if you don't spend your entire career in the Navy).

  3. YES, YES, YES, or any other branch of service!  The military is a wonderful place to be!  You make it what it's worth.

  4. Great idea.  If you like it, you will be able to retire in 20 years, if not you will get some great experience, learn to cope with difficult situations and live in close quarters with all kinds of people and be a veteran (all of which will come in handy in any field you go into).  Good Luck!

  5. Yes.

You can get a commission as an officer and go in as an Ensign.   You will probably have to sign up for four years and that will give you time to figure out what you really want to do in life.  Plus you can look back on it as something good that you did for your country.

  6. It's never a good idea to WANT to go to h**l which is where you'll be if you murder Iraqi women and kids to steal their oil.  Already, over four thousand soldiers who thought they were big, tough heroes are screaming like babies in the lake of fire, and wish they had never done what they knew in the first place was wrong.  But, alas, there is no turning back for them.

The US military is violating three of the LORD's Commandments: You can't murder people; you can't steal their oil; and you can't lie about it.  A person can't do that.  A group of persons can't do that.  And a nation can't do that.

And what was your degree in, loading bombs or enhancing collateral damage?

  7. its an excellent idea; they need you.

  8. If you feel that a Naval career is good for you, then yes.

  9. yes.  even if you don't love it, it's good steady employment, relatively safe (as long as you don't go to BUDS or something crazy), and you can wait and see what the job market does.

  10. YES

  11. It is the best idea!

You can be an officer !

  12. Hellbeggar's right.  Don't listen to these obvious "jewish" operatives who are sitting home all comfortable in Tel Aviv coaxing Americans to annhiliate the muslims for them.

Always go with Jesus Christ, the only Messiah the world will ever know.  That way you can't go wrong.  Get on your knees and pray for guidance.

  13. You have worked your way through to a 4 year degree.  Hopefully you've also matured along the way to trust your own judgment.   Do what is right for you.

    USAF Veteran

  14. Yes, ask for aviation school, if you can't be a pilot, you still can be a crew member and fix the puppies on an aircraft carrier
