I have green caterpillars eating my flowers in my front yard what r they and can i get rid of them?

They sound like cabbage white caterpillars...pick them off by hand...put gloves on if you're squeamish.  When you've collected them, release them  away from your garden.

You can use Bt which is an ingredient specific to caterpillars, if you go to a garden center and ask for and organic or natural caterpillar killer they will know what you are talking about.
