I have green eyes, dark brown curly long hair, and tan skin. i need a new make up routine..

Question

what colors are best for my body/face? i know they say plum colors are good. i want the smokey effect with my eyes but it looks bad, like i have a black eye!

with tan skin, smokey eyes should look great! its probably not that it doesnt suit you but just not putting it on right. youtube has great tutorials on how to do it. if you have tanned skin, stay away from matte or block black colours. they wont show up well on you. instead, opt for a black with some serious shimmer in it! or even silvery-blacks. then you will see it a mile off and it will complement your skin. use less eyeliner so you dont get the panda look. maybe use charcoal liner instead of black. its that little bit lighter but still dramatic.

other colours that look good on you would be rouge-reds on your cheeks and lips, intense shimmering pale pinks with gold in it....mint colours for something different, or dark browns like mocca or coffees.

Apply a gold shimmery eyeshadow to your lids and a little bit underneath the outside corner of your lower eye.  Then use a black pencil liner on your top lid and smear it a little with an eyeshadow brush.  Curl your eyelashes really well, and your eyes should pop.  I would also use bronzer on your cheekbones and on your temples.
