  1. this could be because ur parents hav brown as dominent gene and blue as the other one (sorry cant remember the correct name).  when the hav kids i.e. you its like a random draw of all the possibilities of wat colour eyes you will get .

    say B= brown and b=blue

your parents could be Bb so they would have brown eyes,

the possibilities for there kids would be BB, Bb, bB, bb

in three out of the 4 cases there is the dominent brown gene so the kids eyes would be brown but in 1 out of 4 kids the blue gene is the only one there so blue would be the colour of your eyes.

    i hope that made sense.

  2. Eye color genetics are a lot more complicated than what the prior answerer even got into. It is hard to explain but completely normal. My dad has blue eyes and my mom has brown. My real full brother has brown eyes and mine are blue. Not only is it genetics but also male/female related as far as that goes. The more that they know about it the more they find out they do not know enough. they explain it really good here:

  3. Although the brown gene is dominant, it all depends on what happens in the embryo.

My parents have blue and green eyes, I have brown and green eyes and my brother brown.
