  1. Better bushy than thin and spindly.

  2. me too and yes it is normal. fun isn't it. I've got chili's, mini cucumbers, cherry tomatoes and strawberries too. 1st attempt at all of them. I've got bigger plans for next year now.......

  3. It is exactly as it should be

  4. Yes peppers will generally grow maybe a foot tall and be somewhat bushy.  They won't be as viney as say a cucumber or melon.  I hope that answers your question!  Good luck.

  5. Yep, sounds okay to me.

  6. Strong bushes are a great start. Now add some high nitrogen compost to the base of the plants, being careful not to touch the leaves or any peppers. My rabbit's p**p is our secret to the best green and red bell peppers ever grown. Regular compost or organic fertilizer will help.

Never grew a decent green pepper before that!

With hot peppers, such as yellow or jalapeno or chili peppers, no additional treatment is necessary. These will grow just about regardless of the soil as long as they don't dehydrate.
