  1. get a dog. bigger, better to love, will live much longer. and theyre more fun.

it doesnt have to be huge. i have a little s**+ tzu male dog and hes awesome!

  2. maybe a bird or a beta fish, the fish is cool, i have a betta. VERY easy to take care of.

  3. There are hamsters, or mice ferrets if you want to stay in the rodent business.    Farrets you can buy harness' for and actually walk them.  I think they live a bit longer too.

  4. try reading up on the care of your pet before buying one maybe a gerbil

  5. Try looking at hamsters or ferrets. Ferrets bite though if not raised well.

  6. A beta fish.

  7. I always spend at least a year researching an animal before I get one.I spent two years researching guinea pigs and mine lived to eight years old.

Do some research and get whatever pet you think you can best provide for and take care of.

  8. There are so many other choices out there, it mostly comes down to what will fit your lifestyle the best. If you want another rodent you could get:

-A rabbit (cute, furry, can be walked believe it or not, they actually sell leashes at the pet store, can be potty-trained, loves to cuddle and play with you)

-Ferret (like a smaller version of a dog/cat)

-Hamsters (small, nocturnal, loves to play with you)

-Gerbils (very friendly, smart, very active, least smelling rodent)

-Chinchilla (not the friendliest, but their fur is sooooo soft!)

    You could get birds like:

    -Lovebirds (Can be potty-trained, friendly)

    -Parakeets

-Parrots (can be trained to talk)

    Or reptiles, amphibians, fish....

    or a dog or cat.

But I would recommend two gerbils most because they are very friendly, can be trained to do tricks, and very active. You would have so much fun watching/playing/training them!

    Hope I helped!

  9. guinea pigs are fairly easy to take care of.

fresh water daily, grain mix and lettuce/carrots, they also require worming every 3 months which i believe is added to their water this could very well have been the cause of your guinea pigs dying if you didn't worm them out? Heat and the cold can also have an effect on them so have there cage in the shade during the heat of the day, but covered of a winter night.

I would also suggest a smaller breed of dog, Jack Russell's are wonderful and low maintenance.

  10. WOW no now that you mention it, i cant think of aannnyyy other pet in the whole wide world you could have. thats a tough one, maybe you could go to a pet store, they might have some ideas

  11. aww..i am so sorry for your loss!

If you are aiming for an animal like a guinea pig, mice are really fun and cute. Here is some info about taking care of mice:

The common mouse is a curious little creature that makes a very interesting companion. (They are also very cute!). They have a life span of 1 to 3 years if well taken care of, and are a great first pet for children. If handled often they can become very tame and enjoyable.

Mice are great pets for several reasons. They are small, inexpensive, and very easy to care for. Female mice are odorless. They are also very clean animals that continually groom themselves by l*****g and combing their fur.

The mouse is a very adaptable creature who can thrive in almost any environment and has resisted mans' attempts to eradicate it for centuries.

Mankind has learned a lot from studying mice and using them in a variety of situations to determine what would happen to people in the same situation. They are not only interesting, but educational!

    Good Luck!

  12. What did they die of? It's unusual for them to pass at the same time unless they had a highly contagious disease and never got appropriate medical care, or they ate something poisonous.

Perhaps you shouldn't get any more pets unless you can provide excellent and proper care.

  13. Get a box turtle.  They live for 50 plus years.

  14. try gerbils.  they are very clean and require little care.  just food, water, and love.  (make sure you get two, because they are very social critters)  they live a few years also.

  15. You could always get a sugar glider,  they live very long and can form a very stong bond with their owners.

Here is a great site you can go check out with tons of glider information.

    Goodluck!

  16. Maybe a bunny, there easy to take care of, cuddly, and unlike a dog, they wont bark loudly and annoy you at times, and there easier to take care of.

Maybe a cat, there pretty cool.

  17. Hamster

    Kitten

    Puppy

    Rabbit

    Fish

    Turtle

    Rat

    Mice

  18. If you have had guinea pigs then try a rabbit the life span is longer and they make better friends.

  19. i would get a puppy because they are sort of easy to take care of and they are loveable and kind. :D we have a mini Dachshund and she is the sweetest! They have funny personalities as well!

  20. A rock.  Ok seriously, a betta fish.  They are soooooooooooo easy to take care of and the one I have now is 5 years old. Think about it...you don't have to water them!
