  2. Epilepsy as a diagnosis simply means that you have a tendency to have unprovoked seizures.  It's not uncommon at all for the doctors to be unable to find a specific "focus" in the brain.  Imaging of the brain doesn't always show anything that explains the seizures, so it sounds like they are trying to rule out any other causes.

If I am reading your question correctly, you are asking whether you are automatically epileptic because of having had two seizures, correct?  The answer is no.  The fact that they are still investigating would indicate to me that they haven't yet made this diagnosis (they are still looking for a cause that may be due to another medical condition).  Talk to your doctor(s) and they should be able to explain more fully why they are asking for the tests they are doing now.

I wish you all the best and hope they are able to give you a complete answer soon!  I know, seizures are scary.

  3. There are also metabolic causes for seizures. Your doctors investigate for all causes.

  4. no your not, it might just be a temporary thing, i used to have seizures, they just stopped when i turned 12, plus they happen for many reasons, i still dont kno what caused mine
