I have had a dull ache on the right side of my abdomen for over a year now. The pain is in between my ovary ?

and rib cage. same hight as my belly button, only off to the side. I do plan on seeing a Doctor, but I want to know if anyone has experienced this before. The ache is'nt too painfull, just constant. Occasionally though I will get a very sharp pain. Note: I am a recovered alcoholic, I am scared because I don't know if it is my liver. any feedback would be appreciated!! Thanks..

look up appendicitis and see if that helps i think i got it

Tiffany, Sorry I really can not answer this ? that much but you should have it checked it can possibly be your liver but sometimes if you don't make bowel movements that often can be the problem I had some those aches. On the other hand, I wanted to thank you for your answer and I seen that you had a ? so I am thanking you through this and I am happy to hear that you are back with your husband.
