I have/had a good credit score but now it's showing low credit... Is it bad? It was 731 when I had a debt...

Question

I bought a ring from Kay and I had it setup 12 months same as cash. When I was monitoring my credit with freeCreditReport.com, It always showed "OK" for payment received on time... Also, I had something on there from an auto insurance company because they said I never sent proof of my new insurance when I swapped companies back in March, 2007...

Alright, I called and argued with them for a while and they took it off of my credit, but still say I owe them money. My score was 600 when it was on there, then jumped to 730 after it was just kay.. Anyways, after I paid Kay off now I have no credit.. Is this bad? Whats the best thing to do?

Get a small credit line...keep it open for a year...charge small things too it once a month, then pay it off the next month! It is always good to keep a credit line  open for at least 1 year!

Get a credit card and only use it once in a while.  Pay it off completely at least every-other month, but always make at least the minimum payment-do not miss a payment.  Don't let it get too high that  you can't pay it all off at once.  Keep it open for at least a year in good standing.  That will show that you can have credit and use it responcibly.

honestly, i dont think that is right... because you cant go from having a score of 730  then right away, back to zero.  that whole kay payment thing, should stay there. why dont you call freecreditreport.com and complain and ask them to explain to you what is going on. they could be telling you false information.. hope everything works out for the best! =)
