I have had a tied sterilisation for over 10 years and have since remarried, My husband unfortunately had to have his testicles removed but has banked sperm available. I have been told that the NHS no longer does reversals and we are deperate to have a child together, I have been looking into this for sometime now and I am just hitting a brick wall, It is very distressing and I was wondering if any one can help out with any information that will help us in getting the right help that is needed, I have been told that I am still producing many eggs so that is 1 good thing just how do we get the reversal help if we cannot afford private. If any one has the answer or can help please please let me know many thanks.

  1. go to askbaby.com and go to the discussion forum, trying to conceive, there is about 32 pages of information on it.

  2. you should be able to have a reversal.. I don't understand why they are telling you no.. Another option is to look into a surrogate mother. They can use your egg, his banked sperm and the surrogate mother can carry the baby for you. It's not as great as being pregnant yourself, but the baby would be yours and your husbands.

  3. they are telling you no because it's the nhs - they won't do a reverseal on you

you could appeal against it by conplaining to the pct but it's unlikely you'll win as i'm guessing you have kids alreadly so you won't be albe to have ivf or anything either

you could either have a reversal or ivf  or both privately.

i know it's rubbish and i know you want a child together, but i guess you'll have to try and save up somehow i know how hard it is - ive been ttc for years and years and i don't have any childeren already.

    good luck x
