I have had a yeast infection for two years straight now....?

I have had a yeast infection for two years now, and its really gross. But i am to scared to go to the doctor because it hurts when they put that thing up you. I havent even told my mom yet because she would make me see the dr. can i get sick or die from this???? are there any PILLS that i can take???? help!!!!

Holy c**p that's a long time. You need to tell your mom like soon. It's been wayyyy to long and you really need to see a doctor about it. I don' think over the counter medications are going to work on it since it's been a while. Just go to the doctor and get it over with.

OMG GO TO YOUR DOCTOR, thats DANGEROUS!!!! Tell the doctor that it hurts when they do it and they will be more gentle and take some advil before you go... but you REALLY do need to go to a doctor RIGHT AWAY!  YES you could get veryyyy sick from that!

First of all, there are tons of over the counter medications you could be using to clear up a yeast infection. Yeast infections cause pain and itching and alot of irritation, why would you let it continue? Secondly, if someone were to wait out a yeast infection and not treat with medication, most of the time your period will flush the yeast out and you would heal during your period. I have never heard of a yeast infection lasting longer than a month, so I'm guessing this is something else.
