  1. 1. It has the same effect.

2.It may take 3 days for full relief, but continue the antibiotic for 5 days at least

  2. Yes!!

One of the important functions of a "capsule" or "pill" is that it protects the drug from being degraded by the HCl in our stomach, since Amoxicillin is relatively stable in the presence of gastric acid, this should not be a problem. But amoxicillin is not very soluble in water, so if you pour the content of the capsule into a cup or a water bottle, make sure you sake it up very well before you drink it or the drug will settle to the bottom of the cup and you will be taking much less a dose then you should. Not only is this not going to be effective for you, but a low dose like that can select out resistant bacterial strains. So SHAKE!!! before you drink the water with the powder

By the way, amoxicillin is also available as an oral suspension, tell your doc you have problems swallowing the pill and he can then get you the liquid suspension which you can easily drink

  3. As long as you drink all of the drink it is put it it will work the same. You should notice it going away in a couple days.

They have given me amoxicillin for tonsillitises and it would kick in within 2 days. I could feel it getting better.

  4. ask you doctor for liquid

  5. SAME AS IF YOU HAD TOO PILLS AMOXICILLIN IS AN ANTIBIOTIC YOU SHOULD GET SOME RELIEF IN A DAY OR TWO

  6. It will still work.I still cant swallow big pills,so i crush them up and mix it with something. Just make sure what your mixing it with is OK.If you dont know ask a Pharmacist. You should start feeling better in a few days but make sure to take the full amount prescribed.
