I have had constant disconnection

I have had constant disconnection from internet for the past 6 months, I even purchase a new modem/router (2Wire from AT&T) and in addition, my son has XBox Live. The internet goes out whether he is on his game or not. No service technican has been able to solve the problem. I have put filters on all telephone lines and I do not have cable. Please Help0!
