I have had contacts for 3 days now .. I wore them 4 hours the first day, 6 the second, and now im wearing them for 8 hours today

I have noticed my vision is NOT improving? Do you think I got the wrong prescription because I have to really focus in order to read.. is this normal? I go back for another appointment next week so they can check the contacts...

  1. The answer may depend on your age.  If you are younger than 38 or so, you may have the wrong Rx.  If you are older and you are near-sighted, you may be experiencing difficulty up close with contacts that you wouldn't experience with glasses.  Most of us begin to need reading assistance around age 40.  Contacts push us there sooner than glasses do if we are far-sighted and, conversely, help keep us out of them longer if we are far-sighted.  In any case, this does warrant a call to the eye doctor.
