I have had foot bone fusion surgery. What does the throbbing mean? Is it too much blood to the site?

  1. Actually the throbbing is a good sign. Yes, it is the blood getting to the injured area.  To reduce the throbbing, lie down and elevate your foot above the level of your heart.  This reduces the pressure on the foot and thus reduce the throb.
