  1. You have to contact a driving school. They might be able to help you at the DMV. They may require that you take a few lessons, or you may already have and didn't think to ask.

License and insurance of some type is needed to go to dealer to buy a car. If you are going to finance a car then they require insurance before you drive off the lot.

  2. I have met this kind of problem before, here is the resource I found useful.http://car-insurance.online-helpers.info...

  3. My suggestion is this:

-practice for a while in a different car, like your parents, and make sure that you are prepared to drive. Keep in mind that in most states, you do not need insurance as the permit automatically covers you under the driver's insurance. Also, the car has to belong to someone over 18 who has a valid license.

-Once you pass your driver's license test, start looking for a good starter car, something that is cheap but reliable. Don't invest in something "cool" or "sporty". Right after getting your license, you are most likely to be in an accident, and you don't want your nice new car getting scratched!

-Use someone else's car, again, your parent's is a good choice, and get basic insurance added on to theirs. Pay them that money every month and get onto a budget. While you are using that other vehicle, keep looking and saving up for a car of your own.

-Before you buy the car, find out how much insurance will be. Compare a lot of cars before choosing one! Once you have the car picked out, call up your insurance agent and get the insurance started on your new car.

I hope I helped here; this is exactly what I went/am going through right now while I work on getting my own car! I waited until I was 19 to get my license, so you have quite an advantage over me! Good luck to you!

  4. Aren't you putting the cart before the horse??  You should get your driver's license first, right?

    O.K...you need a license to get a car...and you need a car to have insurance...You don't have either...neither...whatever...

(and we do read the q's...)

YOU ARE PUTTING THE CART BEFORE THE HORSE, BUDDY!

  5. You need a license first! You have to have a license to get insurance, and you need insurance to get a car! Of course you could get the car first and the license and insurance after, but I wouldn't drive it until you get them. The tickets are HUGE and not to mention if you had an accident- no insurance to cover it!
