Question:

I have had my turtle for some time now i am just now figuring this out what kind of home should i give her?

my turtle is a box turtle,lives in a glass tank,and is always trying to get out,we live in a town home so we cant afford for something to be outside,and i have had her for 7 years,never gave her slugs or worms (is that important?)

  1. how do you have a turtle for 7 years and still not know what is good for them?

    look online for care sheets or BUY A BOOK on them!

    ask people at pet stores, find a forum online!

    ...PLEASE...

    this is info you should have known BEFORE you got your turtle. not SEVEN years later.


  2. Box turtles need room to roam. They also need a fair amount of protein even when adult. Try dog food (canned), just so long as the wheat gluten in it didn't come from China. They love worms too.

  3. Your turtle really needs to be out of the tank.

    If you can not build a pen outside you should make a tort table

    Although this site says to use a tank its not good to, but the tort table plans are good.

    the tort table allows better air flow and they need a lot of room to roam.
