I have had pink eye for about 7days,when will i know it is gone?

I got pink eye on Friday and over the weekend i didnt take any eye drops or anything....I went to the doctor on tuesday and they perscribed me eyedrops there and have been taking them ever since...i just want to know when will it be gone for sure and should i go to the doctor to make sure..and when should i wear my new make-up after the infection is gone...this pink was not bad at all...i barely had any sticky stuff on my eye...my eye did not turn pink..and it did not itch..the only thing i felt was that i felt that something was in my eye....so....yeah

To a certain extent, it depends on the type of pink eye you have.  You should be better now if you have been using the medication for a few days.  It should be cleared up within a week or so for sure.

Pink eye, also called conjunctivitis, can show up when you least expect it, and it is very contagious. There is more than one type of pink eye, and how you treat it depends on the type. If it is bacterial you need antibiotic ointment or drops. There is no particular treatment for viral pink eye. If it is an allergy that is causing your difficulty you may need anti-inflammatory medication or antihistamines. Frequent hand washing is crucial to prevent spreading the virus or bacteria, depending on which type you have.   There is also something called CLARE, or contact lens induced acute red eye. Sleeping in contacts makes the eye more susceptible to inflammation/infection.
