I have heard that Goldfish need at least 6 hrs of uv light.?

Goldfish need a day/night cycle, just like us. Some people prefer to use the lights on the hood of their tank, but I prefer natural light since my tank is by a window.

So I say, when you wake up, give the goldfish light and when you go to bed, turn off the light. I use the natural light because if I have a late night/sleep in in the morning, the fish gets his regular light cycle :)
