  1. My vet told me that most yellow tabbies are males.

My Tigger is a huge yellow tabby male.

But I saw a female on one of the Animal Planet cop shows that was a lady cat who had three kittens. Thought that was kind of odd.

  2. i dout it but oddly enough mine is

  3. Its more common for them to be male, just like calico's tend to be female.

  4. Most are male, but not all. See this article:

  5. Yeah, that is a very funny coincidence, but there are female orange tabbies as well as males.

  6. This is not true. I know somebody with a female orange Tabby.

  7. NO.

I have had TWO orange female cats.

Many orange cats are male, it is more common, but orange females so exist.

  8. orange females are typically much rarer  then males

however we have had two orange females

  9. Not  true  who  ever  told  you  that  is  a  lier.

  10. Not true, a woman I work with has a female orange tabby and so does my boss. It might be more likely for them to be male, but it is possible for them to be female.

  11. nope, I've definitely seen some girl orange tabbies. They are much more likely to be male, but I don't know why this is. It isn't exactly like the way calicos are usually girls, because that is due to a gene that controls color that can only be passed by X chromosome. Pretty much the only male calicos will have a genetic defect where they are XXY(extra X) instead of XY(normal male). So orange females are nowhere near as rare as male calicos.
