Question:

I have heard that if girls blood group is negative then there is a lot of problem in pregnancy. Is that right?

My daughter's blood group is B negative, I am aware that it is one of the rare blood group , but will she face problems while pregant also? please share your knowledge

  1. Not these days she won't.  I have AB negative but my husband is positive so there is a potential problem.  The first baby is fine but during childbirth there is a chance a little of the baby's blood may get into the mother's bloodstream.  If the baby is positive then the mother makes antibodies to this and it is this which can effect subsequent pregnancies.  After every birth they gave me an injection called an Anti D which killed off any antibodies I I might have made to rhesus positive blood.  Then the next baby was not adversely affected.  Very very common and nothing to worry about.  All 3 pregnancies were all problem free from start to finish.
