They say the safe months are from September to April. Could just be a myth or superstition but thought I'll clarify

  1. Thats the silliest thing I have ever heard. I live in japan, and we eat fish and seafood variety year round.

  2. Not all sea food- just Oysters. Oysters are best eaten in months with the letter "r" and not from May-August, al;though these days with commercial producers, you can find good ones year round, Oysters spawn in the warm summer months, usually May through August,   Spawning causes them to become fatty, watery, soft, and less flavorful instead of having the more desirable lean, firm texture and bright seafood flavor of those harvested in cooler, non-spawning months.

  3. you should buy those liquid salmon oil pills, 3 times a day

it's very healthy (and totally natural) and is like you would have 2 proper fish meals a week

  4. Wow - never heard that. Interesting thought though so I had a quick check on Google and found nothing to support that idea. Maybe I'm naiive but if it ain't on Google then I ain't gonna believe it! :)

I think given the fact that so many cultures rely on fish throughout the year as a fundamental part of their diet that this is unlikely to be the case. Furthermore, I have eaten fish every week for most of my life and I still seem to be ok...

... except for this weird fishy smelling green growth... uh oh!
