A friend told me today that the Teamsters are threatening to strike because of high fuel costs as well as Mexican drivers are being allowed to work in the US . Also she said that the stores here are beginning to "ration" rice? If all of these rumors are true what's going on.

  1. I dought it, truckers are feeling the pinch and some are going to mexico for fuel  but i don't see a strike because of it.  At least not the company trucks  the owner operators on the other hand  i can see them parking as they arn't making any money.

  2. Thats easy they are trying to sell out the US. They are trying to totaly cut out the middle class. They are trying to make USA, Canada, and Mexico all in one country.

but look up Nafta super highway on the internet.

    yahoo it or google it.

and as for everyone else just keep watching the skys.

  3. Mexican trucks were allowed to haul freight through the US since September 07.  No it didn't make anyone happy but it's gone, done, old news.  There are few teamsters in the trucking industry anymore and if they went on strike nobody would notice.  Yes, certain commodities are being rationed, rice is one of them Sam's club is an example of one such store.  The reasoning behind it is to prevent hording but the quantities so far are quite liberal.

Truckers are in DC today 4/28 to protest fuel costs and there is a nationwide shutdown scheduled for May 1st and May 5th.

While most of what you heard is true it's about 5 different unrelated stories mixed up together.
