I have heard the water around NYC on a cruise is Rocky.?

Is it like this even in August? I am taking a cruise and want to know how much shake rattle and roll will there be and for how long. We are going to Canada. (Halifax and Saint John). This will be my husband's first cruise- I am already used to the rocking. Is it any worse then when I left Costa Maya twice?

I went on a cruise leaving out of NYC in March, and I got very sea sick. But then, I put the sea sickness patch on, and I was completely fine.

I left Costa Maya.. and it was a bit rocky, but I was okay.

It all depends on the weather in NYC. If its a beautiful, clear day, you shouldn't have any troubles..

i just got off a cruise ship in NYC this morning. the water in NYC is very calm because its a river but the ocean is unpredictable. have fun
