I have in ground pool ,pump runs but won't prime up and pump water ?

Make sure all skimmer plugs are removed. Open all your valves if any are in the off position. Fill the pump strainer with water. Make sure the lids o-ring is clean and properly lubed. s***w on the top. Then turn the pump on. If the equipment is far from the pool or higher than the pool it may take awhile for the flow to start. If you still cant get flow put a drain king (available at the hardware store) in the skimmer hole and try again.

check and see if you have to manually.

if not something might be clogged or the impeller blade is not turning even though the pump is running.
