  1. You should already have confirmation of your no claims bonus on your renewal notice, just forward this document to your new insurer, and you should be ok. A lot of insurance companies hate losing custom and make it difficult to change over

  2. I think you are dealing with cr*p insurers. Your new company should be able to access your previous records as they all use the same database. You need to kick some ****, or find a company that will actually look after your interests. Try the Coop.

  3. if you decide to look for new insurance then http://www.COMPAREusINSURANCE.com should be able to help you, but your new company should already see that you havent had any claims considering they are about to insure you and can see EVERYTHING for like the past 3 years or something

  4. Have you really been driving for 22 years? judging by your spelling and grammar I wouldn't have put your age much over 19, let alone 40 odd.

  5. If you have provided your new insurers with details of your previous policy, they should be able to search the MID (Motor Insurance Database) for details of the cover, expiry date and NCB entitlement.  You should however have received a renewal notice or cancellation schedule from them at expiry of your last policy.

They could also phone them for confirmation of your NCB so the threat to cancel your cover seems a little extreme.  Provided the previous policy expired less than 2 years ago, your previous NCB should be valid.

Who is the insurer in question (bet it's someone like Tescos who aren't 'proper' insurers anyway!)

  6. no but your old insurers have a legal obligation to forward your no claims bonus, if you are having problems ask your new insurers to phone them and get verbal confirmation.
