His email address is a hotmail address and it is a valid address, spelling is correct, etc. I have tried cut and paste from an email he sent me and one that i sent to him that worked. Is there a trick to using hotmail email addresses for yahoo groups ??

  1. there are a few addresses that are automatically seen by yahoo as invalid but I cant remember exactly what they are now. it's something like the ones that contain 'info'. there is no trick to sending invites, sometimes they work, often they simply do not and haven't for almost a year.

hotmail also had an issue of rejecting yahoo things. hotmail can be members of yahoo groups, I have many members who use that e-mail. it's an issue with hotmail currently at this time.

to read more about that, please go to this link

if your group is not a closed membership, try sending the direct link of your group to that person, and they can join per the great big blue tab on the right Join This Group.

  2. I don't think hotmail accounts are allowed to join yahoo groups I could be wrong

  3. There have been some technical issues with people who use hotmail addresses that want to join Yahoo Groups.  The Yahoo Groups technical staff has been trying to fix this problem.  I would recommend getting in touch with a Yahoo Groups customer service representative to let them know what's going on to see if they can help figure out what could be causing the problem.

  4. wow

Im sure he knows where group is ( most likey) & maybe find the group at a later time,
