  1. If you needed a visa to enter the Republic of Ireland , I suspect you would need one to enter the UK which is where Northern Ireland is

  2. Holding a visa to enter Ireland does not give you automatic entry into the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. It depends entirely on the nationality of your passport.

If you hold a passport from one of the countries listed on the website below then you will need a seperate visa to enter the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.

If you do require a visa then you should consult the following link to find out how and where to apply.

  3. you can get into ireland with your irish visa and then you would be able to go from there to northern ireland as there are no border checks but you probably wouldnt be able to get a job there or travel from there as technically its a different country therefore has different visa laws applying to it !

  4. how long are you planning on staying for??

as far as i know you can stay up to 3 months without a visa, when you go on holiday you dont need one so i dont see why you would need one if your only going to be staying for a little while!

  5. Different country. So I'd assume so.

  6. Yes. You need a UK visa.

But if you are traveling by land there are no border checks, and no-one to show your visa to.
