I have joined a gym with a minimum of 12 months membership?

but i have never used it and something has come up and i need to cancel but they wont let me. is there any way out of this

Don't pay for your membership.  Or talk to the manager by going to the gym.

I had a membership to a gym about three years ago.  i stop going because I was overwhelmed with college and i didn't have time to go.  The health club put it on my credit report and my credit score went down.  Try your best to keep the membership if you want good credit because i don't think there is any way out if you have a contract.
