  1. As a fibro sufferrer of over 5 years I have learned to manage my pain and work on reducing it. I have found massage therapy to be the most helpful as it reduces muscle tension and helps minimize the headaches. I go once every 2 weeks for half an hour. Also a hot tub or jacuzzi works well for relieving muscle tension. Try to get a decent sleep as fibro flare ups are much worse when you are tired. Other than that some Robaxacet at night time will help with the pain and it has a bit of a drowsy effect to help you get to sleep.

  2. Experiencing pain really makes you uneasy and discomfort. You really get to find all the ways to manage the pain. Usually, over the counter pain medications are the common option. Muscle relaxants can be an alternative for pain relief. Moreover, there are alternative therapy options if you really want to have a soothing relief.

  3. If this is fibro in time you will learn how to deal with your pain.  Your doctor will try all kinds of medication on you to help you deal with this.  The quicker you can get in and get the diagnoses the better.

Pain management hmmm those of us who suffer with this do different thing for the pain.  Try some moist heat for now, i just typed this in another post, i hope I'm not typing this over again to the same person i never look at the avatars or names.  What i did is make bags and put rice in them and put them in the microwave for 2 minutes, they can go 3 minutes but i find its way to hot.  They also sell moist heat heating pads and those work to, the regular one don't work.  You could take over the counter pain relievers for now, but seriously if you have this they wont put a dent in the pain.  If you have this you will need so exercise or do something that keeps your body moving, if you don't you will hurt more and use the use of that part....You will learn, we all had to go through the ups and down, the drugs i swear they test on us.  You may want to go to a pain management clinic and see what they have to offer.  Understand that those around you have no idea what your going through, people lose love ones, friends, people they thought would stick by their side but don't.  They don't care to hear your in pain all the time, this sends them packing...Its because they can not and will not ever understand.  If the doctor says yes you have fibro you may look into a support group, there you can complain all you want because others there understand.  Just don't crawl in a hole and think life is over, it isn't you will find other ways of doing things, so it takes you longer who cares, it gets done.  Just be good to yourself, you'll do fine if you don't let this disease control your life, you getting control will make life a heck of a lot easier.  Good Luck to you...I do hope you don't have this.
