  1. bring the slip they sent you and a picture I.D.  Yes, it will take a while for jury selection. mostly all day.  If you do not get picked, it is likely you will have to come back the day after too

  2. a good book and one of those inflatable rings people with hemorrhoids use...

Also, bring plenty of patience for moronic bureaucracy stuff.

Also, dress right. AKA, no jeans, shorts etc..judges can get bitchy.

Photo ID and whatever paperwork they may have sent you.

You may be excused that day, although unlikely on a monday. How long really depends on the court calander.

  3. Bring the information sheet mailed to you. It should have a bar code on it.  Also I recommend a book, snack, drink, magazines. You will probably be there for 8 hours unless you are selected to return the next day. Have fun!

  4. The process takes as long as it takes.  I was on Jury Duty last year and it took all-day, for Jury Selection. It can depend on the type of trial and the type of jurors they need for a particular trial.

  5. bring no doze.  The process is slow and boring.

  6. chances are you won't get picked. but process takes about 15 minutes. Just bring identification. If selected it starts right away and could be there up to 10 hours. They give you an hour for lunch.

  7. Bring a good book!

  8. Bring something quiet to do, it is a lot of waiting.  Take the form they sent you as well.  You can be there all day or just for a few hours.
