  1. Go for the front row forwards, sidestep, if you get tackled offload after drawing in defenders. (what position was it again?)


  2. take the minutes at the meetings and prob arrange the social eveents - prize giving etc.

    invite the last one round for coffee / wine and chat about what worked for them

  3. EVERY BLOODY THING ....OH DONT FORGET TO WASH THE KIT, DO THE DISHES,MARK OUT THE PITCH,RUN THE LINE..............ect..ect..

    TERMS OF REFERENCE

    SECRETARY

    MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:

    Responsible for the day-to-day business of the club

    ACTUAL DUTIES INVOLVED:

    · Manage and ensure action on Club correspondence including legal and insurance matters

    · Maintain records of all members and former members of the Club.

    · Provide such Club details as required by the RFU and CB

    · Ensure all relevant forms and publications are with the responsible Officers and make the system

    available to members

    · Organise AGM, Executive committee and Club meetings.

    · Represent the Club with the Chairman on the CB Committee.

    · Record disciplinary matters.

    · Attend such meetings and conventions as required by the Executive Committee.

    · Manage paid clerical support

    · Annual dinner

    LIAISON WITH:

    THE POST HOLDER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO: The Main Committee

    MEETINGS TO ATTEND

    · Main Committee Meetings

    · Annual General Meeting if appropriate

    · County Annual General Meeting

    · RFU forums and meetings if appropriate

    ESTIMATED TIME COMMITMENT: Average 1– 2 hours per week throughout the year

    TERM OF ROLE: The Secretary will be appointed for one year at a time, with the hope that the

    post holder will retain the role for a maximum of 3 years

  6. be at meetings type up the letters and probably volunteer to wash the kit

  7. As well as write letters, or answer the phone, what you could do to make things interesting is design a weekly or monthly newsletter or magazine, to show everyone how keen you are, and of course what is happening in Rugby!
