I have just been invited to a bachelorette party and I need gift ideas. I barely even know the girl. ?

I am basically being invited because she does not have many friends and the girl throwing the party wants there to actually be some people there. The shower is Friday so it would be helpful if I could grab the gift somewhere like Wal-Mart since I have to work all week. Thanks!

You aren't expected to give gifts at bachelorette parties (only the wedding and any bridal showers). If you really wanted to give her something, I'd just give something small like a bottle of wine. Or buy her a cocktail on the night. I also like the idea of a gift certificate for a mani or pedicure.

Wow.  That is kind of a back handed invite to a party.  Are you invited to the wedding or just the bachelorette?  If you're not invited to the wedding you have no obligation to go just to be a "filler".

Get her a congratulations card and perhaps a gift card from somewhere.

I would be offended at the invitation if you aren't good friends with the girl.  I hope that you are invited to the wedding or else I wouldn't go to the bachelorette party.  I never heard of giving a gift to the bride to be at the bachelorette party.  Usually just the bride and bridesmaids will do something fun together.  Don't worry about getting her anything.  It is just such a weird invite.  I wouldn't want people at my bachelorette party if I didn't know them well.

Why give her a gift certificate for a manicure or pedicure somewhere in the area.  She could use it before she gets married and know that it was a gift.  Weddings are expensive enough believe me something like that would truly be appreciated.

A bachelorette party is for her, so I would say a nice gift certificate for a pedicure or a manicure. Maybe even a gift basket of body oils and lotions and soaps.  You know something that she can pamper herself with or go and get done. Maybe even a massage would help her releave some of the pre-wedding stress.
