I have just been suspended from my golf club?

But the manager said it was because I am taking them to a tribuneral for unfair dismissal, but a director of the club attended a committee meeting and told them that it was because I was 2 months behind with my fairway credit payments, but as I also pay my partners, which would make him behind in payments as well and he was not suspended. I can only asume that she is lying and trying not to look like the bad guy as I am a very popular member and was a popular member of staff. My question really is that if they suspended me for being behind in payments and not my partnet, can they suspend me completely from the club or just suspend my membership, because they have sort of said that I am not aloowed to set foot on the property, I must also mention that it is a public course and not a private members club, but does have a membership? Should I contest it or mention it to ACAS?

  1. nut and bolt nut and bolt you got s***w,

  2. Pay your bills and then they have no argument about you owing them money.

  3. Yeah, its probably a conspiracy against you.   Find another place to play.

  4. I suggest that you pay your bill.  If youdidnt pay your dues at my course I wouldnt let you on either.

  5. I suggest you gather evidence for all this and present it to ACAS at your tribunal, as it will help provide a picture of petty-mindedness of your employers.

Who owns the golf club?  You might want to make sure that the owners as well as the managers know what is going on.

You might want to casually mention to your employers that all this is going to end up in the local newspapers too.  They won't like the negative publicity - or the threat of it.

Make sure you don't do anything before the hearing that might prejudice the outcome.

  6. It sounds like a difficult situation. However, we have only heard one side of the story so it would be difficult to provide a proper answer.

  7. Well i would pay the bill, or look for a new

course. They have the right to refuse

service to anyone if the member is not

honoring the terms of the contract. Your

    partner probaly paid his credits.

  8. i think they are being a bit strict if my club done that to me i would be furious goodluck

  9. rthe only way you can be suspended from yhe property would be a court order , or a violation of state/ province liquor laws , or criminal offence . 2 months behind is nothing to be suspended over . if it is a city owned course file appeal with city council , this is so wrong who ever told you about suspension out of work . ask for a copy of thier bylaws . if city course they are on file there , dont ask demand from the president a copy of the bylaws . a suspension has to be brought up and decided by the membership not the executive commitee , each member has i vote or vote by proxy , this is illegal , do you have grounds for a civil suite yes you do . would you win yes . would the press gossip column love this tidbit , dropped out of the blue . like a duck to water . kick there butts even this post letter to the letters to the editor naming the club this is so illegal this would make the court tv shows gaurenteed . also verbal non existance reason for suspension , along with by,law numbers has to be given to you by hand or registered mail . you have the law on your side go play and raise a lot of h**l
