Question:

I have just bought a DIY satellite dish, but I can't get all the channels....have I aligned it incorrectly?

Some channels (eg, ITV2, ITV3, BBC News24) say "no signal", some (eg, Film4) have no sound. However, BBC1, BBC2 and a few others are perfectly OK.

Is this a faulty box, or have I mis-aligned the dish?

  1. You should check the signal strength, first. It  needs to be at about 50% strength, and 70% quality. As a last resort, you could borrow a box from a friend, to see if your box is faulty. Do you have a Sky free to view card?

  2. Possible your receiver is not able to cover all the available satellites or not sensitive enough to do so.

  3. it means u should call ur service provider...if u dont get any channels at all then u should be worried...
