I have just bought a Sony HDR SR7E when I transferred the contents over to my Laptop the video was NOT fluid?

is there any way to overcome this? I have yet to try the Full HD on a HD TV,will I get the same problem? I was not told about this when I purchased the Camcorder.I just expected continous fluid image.

  1. when you captured the video did you get any dropped frames?

    how are you capturing the video via usb or firewire, (i always use firewire only ever dropped 1 or 2 frames my fault, just messing about) in what format are you capturing it in Avi best mpeg sort of ok.

    make sure your hdd is defragged and there is plenty of space for the film, are you capturing it to a partition ie d:\ or external drive, try keeping the capture simple let it do its stuff, leave the laptop alone.

  2. This is most probably due to your laptop.The hard drive will only spin at 5400 RPM. It will cause it to lose frames. You need to have a 7200 RPM drive to cure this. Either a desktop, a very expensive laptop or an external 7200 RPM USB2 drive. This should sort things out. Good luck
