I have just bought pokemon pearl and waiting for it to come in the post have i wasted my money or not ?

i have just bought pokemon pearl is it a good game or was it a waste of money?

it's worth it. How much did you pay for it? It goes for $35 at a store.

personally i would say it was not a waste of money

at first i bought it as a joke to myself (sad i know lol)

and then i started playing and i loved it

sure you may find the storyline a bit the same as the others but it is nice to see new pokemon and have new attacks and such

once you beat the elite four, there are more missions(not required) and side quests

you can do a lot more in this one than in the first two generations ( red blue yellow gold silver and crystal)

but its worth it

i bought both versions so i could get all of the pokemon...

if you waited a little longer, you could have brought Pokemon Platinum, which is part of the Pokemon DP set, BUT it also have 5 all new pokemon which is not included in Pokemon DP, much better graphic, new adventures and storyline, more quest and a lot more things u won't be seeing in Pokemon DP. But Pokemon DP is still a lot of fun!

Well, it depends if you're a fan of the series. A lot of people claim it's one of the must-haves for the DS, and I can agree. It provides a lot of ingenuity, but if you played the other games, it might feel like the same thing all over again. However, the graphics are fairly nice, and it still has that classic feel to it.

I wouldn't say you wasted your money, since it is a pretty solid game, but the replay value is somewhat low. Once you defeat the Elite 4, there's not much to do other than catch the rest of the little critters.  That is, if you're not into online battling, which always adds a nice little twist when you hve to work out strategies.
