I have just cut down some heavy brush and some unwanted plants.How do i kill off the rest of the large stems?

I cut up a bunch of brush and unknown large plant life.Large stems are still protruding from the ground in where they were.How do i kill off the stems so they dont grow back anytime soon?The ground is not needing anykind of plant life.I'm just cleaning up some unwanted overgrowth.Any help?Thanks

Any Product containing glyphosate suchas round up.  Get the concentrate and spray that instead of mixing it, the plants you cleared out could be tough and resliliant and using the concentrate will ensure you kill them.

Ortho brush be-gon is an excellent way to get rid of the stems that are left

cut the large stems close to the ground and cover the area with plastic or wet newspapers.
