  1. I'm assuming that's a ocr gateway science paper and that is classified as only just an A

  2. I think it's an B but I'm not sure. 90% is an A*, 80% A and 70% B in the modular I just did and you got just under 75%

  3. Thats a B, posibbly a A, and if it is an A, you wouldve just scraped it. It depends on the grade boundaries. I did a OCR Science module which was out of 50, and i had got 45, which was an A*.

So i'm trying to guess through that, that your grade is probably a B....

    I Hope its an A

    it could be.. =]

    X

  4. if it was b1 b2 b3  39 was A*(thats what i heard because it hard apparently)

  5. It depends if you are doing a foundation or higher paper.  I recently did my WJEC GCSE English Exams, which were the foundation papers.  My tutor said that 80% was a pass and a pass level is C.

  6. its a B

  7. The way to work it out would be by dividing your 'estimated score'  by the actual score of the whole paper.

    e.g 44 / 60 = 0.73  x 100 = 73.3%  which is a mid- B.

    Grade boundaries:  60% - c

                                       70% - B

                                         80% - A

                                          90% - A*

    Dont get stressed about it.

if only a few students out of the total that sat the paper gained A*s or even A's, the examining board will lower the UMS mark.

the UMS mark is normally out of 90 and an A of out 90 would be 72 and A* would be 81. However, the grade boundaries can differ regularly on the actual paper.

all your paper scores will added together and then the final mark will be out of all the papers.

you cannot do any better than your best.

wishin you the best with your remaining exams!!

    take care

  8. all these people above are idiots! in GCSE it doesn't work with percentages! i have my exam tommorow..b2p2c2 and i did papers....and last year's paper was tough apparently and the marks boundaries are really low!

    45- A*

    40- A

    ??? (the ones below "A" am not sure) ......35 -  B

so well done! u got an A!

there are NO PERSENTAGES IN SCIENCE!
