Can anyone recommend a floor cleaner that brings the surface up nice. Preferably one that is available in the UK.

  1. Do not use under any circumstances, any cleaner that has wax, oil, or soap in it. This includes Murphy's oil soap which many people think is good for laminate. All of these cleaners leave residue on the floor making it look dull, and dirty, especially over a period of time.

Home improvement or diy stores sell cleaner for laminate specifically

but you can save a lot of money by using plain old vinegar. Mix a little vinegar with very hot water and damp mop. Never soak the floor in water. It sounds a little extreme but drying the floor with a towel after cleaning will give the best shine and help protect against any moisture damage.

  2. Use  Murphy's Oil Soap or  white vinegar

  3. call your manufacturer.

then have a look at these websites

  4. When you say "beech laminated" do you mean "beech effect laminate" or "beech veneer laminate"? The latter should be treated as a wooden floor, as the top 3mm is real wood. The former is a plastic made to look like wood and I'd clean it with Flash. The veneer version is harder. I'd ask the manufacturer or supplier to recommend a cleaner. You'd want one that contains a percentage of floor wax.

    Edit.

If you can't contact your supplier or manufacturer, go to your local supermarket or DIY store and start reading the small print on the cleaners' labels. You should look for, "Suitable for use on wood floors", "Contains floor wax", and also something that you can mop with. The alternative is to mop with a normal floor cleaner and then wax. For this you need a buffer to polish the floor afterwards. Hand buffing is hard work and a mechanical buffer costs a similar amount to a vacuum cleaner.
