I have just painted one side of my room a bold winnie the poo type of yellow and the other side a lighter ?

shade of yellow. Suggestions on how I should accessorize?

I would go for purple. Purple is the opposite of yellow, so it would make a wonderful contrast,

As an added precaution analyse your "yellow", if it is a warm "Orange-yellow",  go for purple towards the blueish side for contrast.

Since we don't know your age or exactly which room you're referring to or what furniture you have, it's going to be a little hard. But if you're a teenage girl and it's your bedroom you've painted, how about a pastel duvet cover in pastel stripes (including a little yellow) or in a pastel plaid?
