Follow your dreams.  There are plenty of opportunities for people who are willing to work hard.  Hey, what's the WORST case scenario?  You don't do well and go back to working for someone else.  I think you owe it to yourself to go out there and do it!

just do it,  and remember if you start with nothing you cant end with any less, and if you have nothing to fall back on you will have more motivation to succeed, and one final word of advice as Jimmy Dugan (Tom Hanks in League of their own) signed on the baseball for the kids  " Avoid the clap"  and may the sky rain buckets of good luck upon you

yes.  it takes a lot of strength,guts and will power to go out on your own. if you didn't think you could do it you would still be in that stupid job. think positive! you can do it! do your research, start small, grow your business, don't over extend yourself.  have a back up plan. good luck!
