I have just received an email today that

declare me as a winner of Yahoo Lottery. it is from

terryanthony_office9@yahoo.co.uk as the sender,it is sounds MOTTO: FIGHTING POVERTY AROUND THE WORLD

YAHOO LOTTERY WINNING NOTIFICATION

We are delighted to inform you of your prize release on the 27th june, 2007 from the YAHOO! International Lottery Program. Which is fully based on an electronic selection of winners using their e-mail addresses, your e-mail was ttached to ticket number 47061725 07056490902, serial number 7741137002. This batch draws the lucky numbers as ...(and etc), so my question are:

1. is this announcement are realy from yahoo management or no?

2. is this announcement truly fact or else?

3. if this true why i cannot follow the email of barristerocconor123@yahoo.co.uk in order to confirm about the prize?

4. how can i know and surely will not make a mistake to obey any information like this if its happen in the future?

5. What is your suggestion to me in this matter?

  1. NO. I get those in my email account (not yahoo either) too. Fake. Did u ever sign up for a lottery?? Well then!


  2. Sorry to have to tell you, but NO, that's not real.  It's a fake.  I've gotten at least 20 of them.  DO NOT REPLY TO IT.  Report it to: SPAM@UCE.GOV  and then  DELETE IT IMMEDIATLY.

  3. No, it isn't true.  I won that same lottery a few months ago.  Thousands of people win it every week.  Yahoo! doesn't make enough money to be just giving out that many winners.

    My suggestion is to delete it.

  5. It's a scam.  You're not the first person to ask this question today.  Just delete it, or report it as spam.

  6. No, that stuff is junk and when you get that stuff in your email get rid of it. If you do not know who it is from do NOT open it! That stuff could have spyware or a virus attatched to it that could damage your computer.
