  1. well it can be done but you'll get such bad clarity and sound from  the sub that it would sound just as the speaker that you replacing but this is how you do it

if your have rear deck speakers what you do is unplug the speakers take a negative from the left or right speaker and a positive from the left or right speaker but the negative and positive cant be coming from the same speaker. of course you will need a box or you just have a sub bouncing around in your trunk or back seat witch is stupid.

  2. you will need a "line output converter" (about $20  http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/I... to give your radio a set of RCA outputs to connect the amp to

(subs must have an amp, the radios internal amp is not powerful enough to push subs, you will just fry the voice coils of the sub and fry the radios internal amplifier that was designed to push small low powered inside speakers)

  3. If that is possible, it seems to be pretty bodgy and would not deliver very good results.

Head units are pretty well priced these days, might as well get something with the proper RCA preouts and do it properly.

  4. You would need a rca input converter. Peripheral sells the piece for around 30 dollars.
