I have just set up an easy set pool from intex, I have no clue where to start with chemicals. Please help!?

I'm ready to put the pool up but I want to make sure I have the correct chemicals to put into it. It holds about 3700 gallons of water, 15ft but 48 inches. Also need to know how often to check the water and where to go after this. Any help is much appreciated.

check it about once a week iget the stuff ineed from wal mart its called 6 in 1 use 2 bag every week stuff works great i have a  above ground pool or you can take the water to a hardwear store or a pool place like gator pool in palatka,florida and they will tell you what yu need for the pool

am on my second year with my intex pool. For the most part last year was a horrible experience I could never get the pool to get clear. If it didn't have algae it had a white powder substance on the bottom. I went over the idea of getting a bigger pump. But towards the end of summer a friend of mine passed along her experience and knowledge. You actually do not need a bigger pump. Here are tips for beautiful water in your pool. Use 2 oz per day of instant shock 3 oz when hot. Make sure it is a dissolvable shock. When you put it in the pool it should look like water going in. I can't emphasize enough how it must be completely dissolved. I just put the 2 oz of powder insta shock in a jug add about 1/2 gal hot water let it dissolve and dump it in. Then every 2 days put in 2 oz of liquid algaecide increase to daily when hot. You will need a bottle of PH minus (you can buy this at walmart and it is powder form that dissolve nicely) on hand for those days when you test your water and the ph is high. (usually when it rains) Get yourself on of those little test kits and test your water daily. NOT test strips. Do not buy your Insta Shock or Algaecide at Wal Mart go to your local pool store. Tell them you need insta shock that will dissolve completely. Never dump any Shock or Algaecide in your pool that are not liquid form or dissolved. You will get a powder substance on the bottom of your pool that will take days to get out. As far as the filter goes, the first week I used 2 filters. I would take one out clean it let it dry then switch them. Now I have used a new filter every 2 weeks. I just take my filter out, hose it off and put it back in. I have had my pool up for a month now and it has been crystal clear! If you do have algae in the pool or notice a white dust cloud when you go to vacuum DO NOT run this through the filter because it will not catch it and it will go right back into the pool. Simply put the vacuum in the pool with the hose emptying onto the ground. This might take a few days to get rid of whatever you may have at the bottom of the pool but it is the only way to get it out completely. I hope this helps. Trust me if you follow this it will make your pool enjoyable and not such a pain. Total cost of chemicals monthly is about $30.00 for me. Oh yea my pool is a 6000 gal.
